Like mentioned in the posts earlier this year, A2PB has taken a turn. I was able to spend time over the summer planning and coding and have come up with an updated product scope and road map. Here are some key take-aways:
- First, A2PB will definitely be called InvMon. The domain invmon.com is registered.
- InvMon will be an installable application running on Mac and Windows.
- InvMon will support Interactive Brokers as broker/API, allowing to manage and re-balance portfolios and directly submit orders via the IB Trader Workstation for execution.
- I still have to finalize the licensing/pricing model, but there will definitely be a free version of InvMon available plus one or more subscription based paid versions.
- Beta-testing with a small number of selected test users will start in Q1 2024.
- The goal is to commercially launch InvMon in the first half of 2024.
InvMon is in its third year of development. There are two reasons why tings are taking longer than expected: the moment I decided to turn it into a proper end-user product, my task-list exploded (going from a project/personal tool to a proper product is a big step!). Second, I’m only able to work on it part-time as I need to earn some money too! I’m currently working as a Java software development contractor/consultant for two clients.
