I was working as a contractor on client projects for a couple of months during the spring of 2024. Now I’m back at my laptop working on InvMon. I’m developing and testing both on my new M2 powerbook as well as on my old Dell laptop. This way I can ensure that InvMon looks and performs well both on MacOS and Windows. I’m writing test scripts, completing final features and do work on the product home page and the payments and license management web-site. I decided to use the open source software KillBill (killbill.io) as the basis for InvMon’s license management, together with KillBill’s integration with Stripe (stripe.com) for payments processing.
I’ve invited a few friends to an InvMon product launch party scheduled for the 21st of September. I guess I have to be ready with everything by then. It’s crazy! There is still so much to do. More weekends and evenings at the computer. But InvMon is going to be a really cool tool! That’s what keeps me going. That and the prospect of finally completing this undertaking after having worked on it single handedly, for almost four years.
The picture was taken in Cagliari, Sardinia, during a short summer vacation trip with M around the time of this writing.
